On Sunday, I headed to the cost!
Brighton is the “little London by the sea,” its cosmopolitan
without being untouchable and its relaxed while having a unique energy.
With its bracing sea air and dash of spunk Brighton has a
charm all of its own. Brighton is known as the “fun capital of London” and it
didn’t disappoint, there was so much to do, food, shopping and fun…what more
could you ask for?
The first thing we did was take a walking tour of the town,
our lovely guide pointed out all the great places to shop and eat. After the
walking tour she brought us to the Royal Pavilion, the outside was absolutely
amazing but the inside was underwhelming (I’m so over museums).
After all of
our tours we needed to eat, what better than fish and chips by the sea?
For the ultimate Brighton experience, we visited the
Brighton Pier and let me tell you it was “brilliant fun.” While on the pier you
need to let go of any notions that you’re too old for fairground rides and
games and this is no place for the health conscious.
On top of all the sea fun, Brighton also has some great shopping;
the intriguing North Lanes, which if you walk around long enough could suck
your wallet dry. Lucky for us the weather was amazing so we didn’t spend much
time shopping instead we hung out on the beach and soaked up the sun.
***Fun Fact: The Brighton beach doesn’t have sand, instead
its all rocks***
